Bookings
Booking rules
Notice, booking window, prep and cleanup time, closures, and pausing online booking.
Settings has a small set of rules that decide which times your page offers. Each one is a number you can change at any time; the page updates immediately.
| Rule | What it does | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Business hours | The days and hours your business is open. Team members can have their own hours inside these. | Settings → Business hours |
| Minimum notice | How many hours before a slot starts a client can still book it online. You can always book inside this yourself. | Settings → Booking rules |
| Booking window | How many days into the future the page offers for appointments. The calendar currently shows 35 days ahead at most, so a larger number here does not extend it yet; inside that, days past your window are greyed. | Settings → Booking rules |
| Slot granularity | The grid start times fall on — every 15 minutes, every 30, and so on. | Settings → Booking rules |
| Prep and cleanup time | Minutes kept clear before and after a service. Set per service, so a colour service can carry cleanup time that a fringe trim does not. | Services |
| Holiday closures | Whole days the business is shut, with an optional reason. Nothing new can be booked on them — online or by you at the counter. Moving an existing booking onto one is allowed, deliberately, because you may know better than the calendar. | Settings → Holiday closures |
| Online booking | The switch that refuses online bookings at the moment a client submits one, without taking the page down. | Settings → Booking rules |
How they combine
A time is offered when it is inside business hours, inside the chosen person’s hours, not on a closure or time off, at least the minimum notice away, inside the booking window, on the grid, and long enough for the whole service including its prep and cleanup. Hours, closures, time off and existing bookings are checked again at the moment the client confirms, so a change you make while someone is mid-booking still holds.
