Create your business

Sign up with your invite, pick your business type, and let Primsy set up hours and a starter menu.

Signing up takes a couple of minutes. Primsy asks what kind of business you run and uses the answer to set up sensible hours, the words on your booking page, and a starter menu of services you can change.

During the alpha: the invite

Signup is by invitation. The email that invited you carries an invite code, and the address the invitation was sent to is the one that can sign up. Both are checked; either one alone is refused. That is deliberate — it keeps the alpha to the people we have talked to.

What you fill in

  • Business type. Picked from a grouped list. It decides whether clients book a time slot, request a date, or book a visit to their address; which words the page uses (“appointment”, “visit”, “event”); and the starter menu.
  • Your name, email and password. The email is your sign-in.
  • Business name. What clients see everywhere. Your address, phone and tagline are added afterwards in Settings. Mobile businesses also get a separate “You travel from” postcode there — that, not the address, is what the service-radius check measures from, so fill it in.

What Primsy sets up for you

  • Business hours for a typical week, editable in Settings.
  • A starter menu with realistic durations and prices for your trade, grouped into categories. Edit freely — every price and every minute is yours to change.
  • Booking rules that suit the trade: minimum notice and how far ahead clients can book, both editable. Event trades also get a deposit percentage, a final-headcount deadline and an arrival window; those come with the business type and are not adjustable in Settings yet — tell us if yours need to differ. See Booking rules.
  • Your page’s look — a theme you can change in the appearance editor, with a live preview.
