Trust & the alpha
Frequently asked questions
The short answers, in one place.
Do my clients need an account?
No, and there is no setting that turns one on. A name, a mobile number and an email books an appointment; they get a link that manages it afterwards.
Do you take a percentage of my bookings?
No. You pay a flat monthly fee. Once texts launch, it includes texts to your clients — 300 a month on Solo, 1,000 on Studio — and each text past those will be 4 cents. Primsy does not process payments at all, so there is no cut to take — your clients pay you exactly the way they do now.
Can I take a deposit up front?
Not through Primsy. It records the deposit you have agreed on a booking, on your side; the client sees the figure on their request. It does not charge anything to anyone. You collect the deposit the way you do now.
What happens if two clients try to book the same time?
Booked time stays unavailable to other clients — even when two people try to choose it at once. Preparation or cleanup time you set stays clear too; for a visit with several services booked from now on, the longest prep time among them.
Can clients cancel or move a booking themselves?
Yes. Moving to another free time is always available from their link for an upcoming appointment. Cancelling follows the rules you set: the notice window, and whether late cancellations are free, carry a fee, or need a phone call.
I do not take appointments. I cater events.
Then you get a menu and a date request rather than a slot calendar: a date, an arrival window — or pickup details for a bakery order — a guest count for gatherings, and a deposit figure. Caterers, private chefs, bakeries, food trucks and event stylists all work this way.
Why did my client get a text or an email, or not get one?
Messages go to the contact given for that booking, and only when the channel is switched on. During the alpha texts are off for everyone. The full table is on What clients receive; the rule about who receives them is on Who gets the message.
What happens to my client list if I leave?
It is yours. Primsy is not a marketplace: it does not show your clients another business or make you compete for them. Download your bookings and clients from Settings whenever you want, and ask us to delete the rest.
