Money
Payments, deposits and fees
Primsy does not move money between you and your clients. Here is what it records instead.
Primsy does not move money between you and your clients. It does not take their card details, hold deposits or pay anyone out, and it takes no percentage of what you charge. What it does is keep an honest record, on your side, of what was agreed — the client sees the deposit figure on their request and a fee warning before cancelling, not your ledger.
How you get paid
The “How you get paid” section of Settings is a list you write: cash, card in person, bank transfer, a payment app — whatever you accept — plus an optional payment link with your own button text, and a line for anything else clients should know. The list and the line appear on your booking page and in confirmation emails; the payment link, with your button text, appears on the client’s private booking link and in those emails, not on the public page. A service can override the list when it is paid differently from the rest.
Deposits
Event trades have a deposit percentage. It is shown on the client’s booking link as “Deposit on confirmation”, and Primsy will not let you confirm a request until the deposit is recorded as received — or waived — so nobody is surprised later. Collecting it is between you and the client, the way it is today.
Late-cancellation fees
If your policy carries a fee, a client cancelling a confirmed booking from their link inside the window writes that fee on the booking; a cancellation you make from the schedule records only the status, the time and who cancelled. Once an appointment’s start time has passed you can also record a payment or a tip against it from the schedule, so the record matches the till; a request still waiting for your answer has nothing to record yet.
